Fabric design house from Taiwan

Thank you for visiting my corner.

I am a true believer in already clichéd, overused thought "The Beauty will save the world" and try to find it everywhere - in a meaningful word, in a silent sigh, in the rising sun, in a blooming flower, in a singing bird, in a warm touch, in a golden star, in angry wind, in a drop of pouring rain, in a shared piece of chocolate,  in sadness and in happiness, in disappointment and in gracefulness. I keep my eyes open and all my senses scan constantly the world for inspirations. And they are everywhere. But the most inspiring of all is the Beauty.

Wine Gift Bag

Wine Gift Bag
It is almost Christmas - one full day before the bright and happy celebration. We exchange presents, delights, hugs and wine. The meal is always better with a glass of wine and we all have our weird and not so weird preferences when it comes to wine. Wine making is an art. And, believe me, the process of making good wine is a labyrinth - it is neve...

A Letter to Santa

A Letter to Santa
Every year, at the beginning of December, my beautiful girls wish for something for Christmas. Actually, they make plans through the whole year, and the list changes every other week, but this is the time when they have to make up their minds, sit down with a pen and paper and write their wish. They always make it in a card form, so they could draw...

Christmas Fabric Choice

Christmas Fabric Choice
Here is my Christmas fabric choice for this year. It was an easy choice - I felt in love with this fabric from first sight. I am addicted to Haori fabric - the more I experience it, the more I like working with it. And the projects in my head are multiplying geometrically - my days are never long enough to finish them. Haori fabric has a heart and ...

The Haori Old Gold Collection

The Haori Old Gold Collection
With this post I will put the exclamation mark to my Haori "Old Gold" Collection experience. It has been a wonderful journey to experience the fabric for the first time. The Mon étui post was the first to make from this fabric collection and was something I really needed for my signature and for my soon-to-be trips. I will be able to organize my no...

Fabric Box Tutorial

Fabric Box Tutorial
I thought it would be fair to make one more box and show you in pictures how to make it with me. It took me about three hours in total and that doesn't include the little hand-stitching around the border at the top (visible on the blue lining on the bottom box). Materials needed: 1. two pieces of fabric size: 45 cm x 13 cm 2. heavy fusible interfac...

Mon étui

Mon étui
It is ready, my needle-case for embroidery. It took a while, until I figure how to fit the pieces together and where would be the best place for all the elements I need. With it, I could carry all I need for my little embroidery projects. The fabric, I used, is the Haori fabric, I posted earlier in my blog. It is absolutely amazing to work with it....

Mon étui in progress

Mon étui in progress

Oh, lovely autumn, so inspiring and beautiful! And I am so in love with the Haori fabric! It was exactly what I was looking for my special "Mon étui" project. Muted, earthy colours, very course weave, that gives a characteristic texture to the fabric. Differently coloured fibres, interestingly weaved into the solid colour make the thread choices a challenge that results in a telling-a-story kind of projects - just the ones I love. ♥ Finally, I narrowed down my choices to these colours:

Late Summer or Early Fall
This is the question...In the second half of October, the weather is still so beautiful! Inspired by that I am having great time thinking of making a fall projects with my new fabric from Haori.
